Always washing themselves and when they go to the toilet they bury it.

They can't do this for any public health reason. And they do it by instict, we don't have to tell them how.

  1. They have a special tongue which is intended for the grooming of not only their fur but for their kittens. They're one of the most hygienic animals because of their natural advantage of being able to self clean.

  2. Because cats only can sweat through their paws part of their cooling mechanism is through washing their fur. This keeps the fur in good shape but also allows moisture on the fur which evaporates and cools them down. Burying their f***s is a way of hiding their scent from predators. If you cat have more than one cat they will often groom

each other that is clean each other's fur. Sometimes this is affection but sometimes it is a way the communicate with one another. I have

a couple of cats which do not care for one another and generally will avoid each other but I have often seen them grooming each other.

  3. idono but thats why i love them!!

    dogs are gross

  4. possibly to disguise their scent from predators (maybe prey too..?)

I think thats why they bury their own mess - so other cats or animals cant tell they've been there.

  5. Nobody likes a dirty pussyyyyyycat

  6. That is a cats nature to be clean.

  7. A cats fur keeps it warm, acts as camouflage, and protects it from insects and attacks from predators.Keeping their coat clean is very important to them, if their coat gets dirty/oily, it not only poses a health risk but no longer protects them. We have an 8 year old cat who was once feral but is now sweet, he is always grooming himself and loves to be brushed, out of our 9 cats he's the only one who never gets matts.

Cats are predators as well as prey, burying they f***s/urine is a good way to disguise their presence from their prey and other predators.

  8. They don`t bury waste to disguise the smell, as they mark scent with Pee.

I think its just because they are clean animals.

  9. Cats are better than dogs

  10. They l**k themselves

  11. cats are very clean because they are always grooming themselves by l*****g themselves.

  12. Really, I think that DOGS are one of the only mammals that don't do some kind of self-grooming.  Cats, rodents, birds, primates, most humans...just think about all the animals that l**k and preen and clean themselves on a daily basis.
