  1. I think it also has to do with being flame retardant.

  2. Children's Pajamas are required by the Consumer Product Safety Commission to be flame resistant and tight fitting for saftey reasons.  Tighter fitting clothes are less likely to catch on fire than loose articles of clothing.  I have seen some Pajamas with tags/labels that say they are not flame retardant or tight fitting.

  3. Its in case their is a fire, tight clothing wont catch fire. He can wear a t-shirt to bed, just not a really big one, just a little on the snug side but It doesnt have to be super tight

  4. It's for fire safety.  Even if they are close-fitting that doesn't make them fire-retardant.  To be fire-retardant they must be treated with a certain chemical solution.  They should be close fitting and not baggy because apparently that makes them less likely to catch on fire?

  5. close fitting clothes are more flame retardant... or something like that also if baby is young sids might be a risk

  6. flame retardent

  7. Depending on the age, small children can choke on clothes if they get tangled where as older child are more aware in their sleep and can prevent being strangled more then a little one.
