I am copying pictures, and its just deciding to do it in another colour (black is coming out red) and also when im not copying, its not been doing it the whole time, its just starting too, i am using vista, and have not got loads of programs running.

It has done it before, and I had to restart it, but dont want to have to keep restarting it everytime, so does anyone know why its doing it?

Thanks

  1. the prob might be in ur screen or in the graphic card

  2. Well first off you should probably get a program that is designed for photo's if that is what you are working on.  The paint program that comes with windows is very limited. I use Photoshop but there are more affordable ones on the market that work well.  I  can't really say for sure what the problem is, based on the information you provided, but if it is alleviated by rebooting the system then I would say it may be Vista itself ( which is a piece of c**p system).  Regardless of the operating system you use though your colors will not neccessarily be accurate because things aren't calibrated.  Your monitor needs to be calibrated to a standard, so that the colors that are displayed are accurate.  The printer color pack needs to be calibrated so that it is actually printing what you see, and this will be different for each type of paper that you use.  Lastly if you are using a scanner; this is also a source of inaccuracy that needs to be addressed.  This all requires specialized equipment that can be pretty expensive so if these pictures are really important then you may want to have them printed in a professional lab.
