umm... they aren't. I think you might be confused with internment camps they were built during WWII because the American government was worried that people of Japanese descent would turn against them and spy for the Japanese.

I was told they are called schools.  They aren't for everyone, just those smart enough to get in. but at first everyone has to go, for at least 10 years,  Most go for 12.    

Later you get to go to college.  and eventually your mother Makes you get a job and move out.    School looks pretty good then.
