Why are controlling men so charming?

I seem to attract controlling men. First, they are the most lovable, generous, and will do anything for you. Then, the real person comes out. What can i do to stop attracting these type of men?

The fact that they know what you want is attractive.

THEY are not.

Controlling men know what women want and are willing to give them just that until they have those women in the palm of their hands (to control). By then, it is normally too late and women find it hard to exit that kind of relationship.  With loyalty on her part guilty thoughts might come right after thinking of walking away :)

You know I have the same problem! Some men are just so fake, they show a completely fake side of themselves when you first meet them then the monster comes out...! It's horrible I know, but maybe you should just look for some more fish in the sea! I'm sure not all the men you attract are controlling douche bags. :)
