  1. I'm a dem and am not dogmatically opposed to drilling in the U.S.  At the same time, I'd only want to do it if (a) it made a difference in solving the problem and (b) it was done in a green fashion.

  2. Hey, here's a good solution:  Let's drill in YOUR backyard.

  3. Because it won't make a difference!!!

No matter how you look at it, it amounts to a giveaway to Oil companies, and then they can tear up our land and then sell it China. Do you think your gas price is going to drop?

    Think again.

The day Bush is out of office the prices will drop. The inflated prices have nothing to do with supply and demand, its price gouging. Plain and simple. And Bush is letting them do it.

  4. The Dems I know want to find alternative sources of energy. Even if we began drilling today, we wouldn't see any benefit from it for half a decade.

What's wrong with trying to conserve and come up with a cleaner, less expensive alternative?

  5. I love the way you put the blame on Democrats.

George Bush's father stopped the expansion of offshore drilling.

From 1996 till 2006 we had a republican house of reps and control of the senate and for 6 of those years a republican administration that made no attempt to expand drilling. Now it's suddenly the deomocrats fault.

I don't mind the bitchin' but get your facts straight.

  6. Drilling for more oil won't help us out soon,But it'll sure help more than not drilling at all. What is really needed are more refineries to process the oil we already have. And as a matter of fact I would LOVE to have somebody drill for, and then find oil in my backyard.

  7. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

  8. <<<the dems were going to sue opec>>

Can you back that statement up with some facts ?

  9. Here's an excellent article which answers all of your questions.

The short version is:  It won't make any difference!  We need to develop alternate energy technology!
