  1. Change doctors. Mine is awesome. One time my child was sick but everyone said he was fine. I told my doctor "I know he's sick" and my doctor said he trusted a mothers intuition more than modern medicine so they ran further testing and found he had a rare virus. Only two people in the entire state (according to the CDC) had this virus.

  2. Ask to see another doctor.

  3. Sounds like he was more interested in keeping the process line going to keep the almighty dollar rolling in. Try different doctors until you find one you can communicate with.

  4. umm he's into the money.. he just want you to keep going to him so his paycheck would be fat... he should listen to you.. take some actions.. good luck..

  5. He probably was sick and tired of listening to people complain about aches and pains. That's when you should suggest he goes on vacation.

But if you need a doctor, go to a different one, because the one you have now certainly isn't doing much.

  6. Often they are so tired that all they can do is run through a diagnostic script in their head.

  7. Not all are. I would switch doctors. Luckily I didn't have to but I considered it because mine was like that. She was condescending. One of my coworkers went to her as well and told me that her bedside manner is horrible but she's very smart. The next time I went to her, probably a year later, she was very different. I don't know what happened during that time. Maybe people complained. I felt that she listened to me and didn't discount what I said. I also didn't feel that she was being condescending to me. That previous visit, she made it seem like I was trying to find an excuse to get out of work, which wasn't the case. I had severe chest congestion and was having trouble breathing. My job was an active one. I have a tendency to walk fast and work fast. It's hard for me to slow down. It's a fast paced environment. I was trying to reconcile that. I ended up going back to work and just doing my best to get through the day. One of the managers kept an eye on me and asking how I was.

I know some patients are looking for any excuse to get out of work. But I'm not one of those. Find another doctor. You could try to complain to the office manager.

  8. That happened to me last week when I went into the ER. I told the doctor I was having uncontrollable head jerking, & then he INSISTED it was my psych meds. I told him it wasn't b/c I've been on the meds for months & months. But he just wanted to believe what he wanted to believe, anyway. & he falsely accused me of being a hypochondriac, saying that nothing was wrong with me. Then, later, I found out I suffer myoclonic mini-seizures. If something doesn't seem right, always get a 2nd opinion.
