  1. I learned in Meath and it was €33 a lesson.  Everything is more expensive in Dublin, unfortunately.  But I don't think there is a huge difference.  Maybe I am wrong though!

  2. Because we're the best drivers in Dublin :D

Honestly I have no idea, I don't get lessons anymore I just drive around with my L plates up anyways ON MY OWN!!  Rebel lol

  3. Actually, that's about right for the rest of the country too.

The problem is that people weren't taught properly before, so there are a lot of bad, i.e. dangerous drivers around. Sadly the people who tend to kill themselves with dangerous driving are the young men, which is why the insurance costs are so high in Ireland for that particular age group.

And speaking of insurance, wait till you start looking for a quote, you won't complain about the cost of your driving lessons then, if you're male and under 26 years old. Most Irish boys get their car registered in their parents' names and have themselves listed as a named driver, this can save up to €1500. Technically this means the parents are the owners of the car ... which means that they can take the car away from the son or daughter if the young people do stupid things like drink and drive.

  4. I thought Japan was expensive. Its like takes US$5000.00 to get a license, plus takes 3 months of intense driving lesson.( I am Japanese). Here in the US, It cost $20.00, and you practice on the street using any car. The exam takes about 20 min. just back off, turn left turn right and you PASS~!
