  1. Oil Company Propaganda. That is all it is. I want one so bad.

  2. They are not illegal in Canada. The government is just putting up too many "road blocks" to the companies that make the cars. That and also Transport Canada wont allow them to be licensed. But tech. they are not illegal. We all have to stand up to the government, we can not let the government to tell us what to do and how to live.

  3. I am a Canuck and have never heard of such a thing.  Electric cars were made way back around 1905 in BC I know, but internal combustion won out.

  4. I might be off course, but it seems there was an issue with the low speed electrics that will not go faster than 40 kph. would you want to be stuck behind a bunch of 40kph cruisers???? I built my conversion on the electric principle. the motorcycle runs nicely, does highway speed. just to make sure I don't get stuck with dead batteries, I also included a small engine/alternator for battery charging. the bike was inspected, licensed and insured beginning of april this year. fuel mileage is fantastic. its a Series-Hybrid-Electric. Happy Motoring.

  5. I didn't hear about them being illegal, but it doesn't surprise me if they did.

governments and oil companies all over the world have been fighting tooth and nail to keep EV's out of the market.

If they get big enough and enough grassroots orgs make them they'll just say they're illegal or terrorism against the economy or something.

  6. This sounds rediculace!!! Type it in google or yahoo or something! I bet it has to do with oil!

  7. We asked one of our research associates in Tornoto, Ontario, to answer your question. He said  there is a company in St-Jerome (just North of Montreal in the Laurentians) called ZENN, which stands for zero emission no noise making electric vehicles, and the vehicle has the same name.  But he adds that the most ironic and regrettable thing is that these electric cars cannot be sold in Canada because of an archaic regulation from the federal government (at least that's what our research associate understands)  Most, if not all, sales of these vehicles are to the US.

Aside from that, hybrids are doing well in Canada, as well  as for Toyota, Honda and Ford.  As a matter of fact, our research associate in Toronto just bought a Camry Hybrid. He said its a contribution to the environment not to mention a reduction in gasoline costs.
