  3. I don't think they really are. It's more of a joke that the biggest animal is afraid of a really small animal.

  4. Elephants being afraid of mice is a myth. It is based on the idea that a mouse can crawl up an elephants nose and either 1) eat its brain or 2)  sufficate it.

    Trust there are plenty of mice living in zoos and circuses, you never see constant elephant melt downs because of this, only the occasional outburst from the abuse they recieve. Any how, if a mouse actually did have nerve to climb up an elephants trunk, it can easily blow the mouse out again.

  5. They aren't really afraid of them. There was a "test" done about it... they are weary of them. They don't know if they are attacking, or whatever, so they avoid them, if they even notice them in the first place. Elephants are really violent unless they are provoked, anyway.
