Why are fans angry at Brett Favre?

Okay I noticed a lot of people trashing Brett Favre because he came out of retirement, but what gives? All he wants to do is play football, he's been like that throughout is career. It was never about money to him. It was not his fault that he went to the Jets, the Packers didn't want him anymore. I can understand why Packers fans would be upset, because Favre did so much for them, but what gives people. Why do people hate Brett Favre?

  1. the packers organization played the retirement game with him for years. and in the end, brett favre literally screwed over the packers fans by going to another team. he should've stayed retired and kept his good name. now he has tarnished his good name with his fans.

  2. the only ones that hate brett favre are the loyal ted thompson fans, which is about 24%.  those 3 top 'brass' did a number on poor brett.  they are hiding the nasty facts.  in a couple of years, there will be a movie out as to what really happened.  i hope everyone watches it.  these 3 monkeys will have to own up to their tactics.  can't wait.  meanwhile, the other 72% of us, even tho we love brett, do not hold Rogers responsible.  and we support and wish him well.

  3. lol...bucs           If he stays in green bay and doesn't retire they contend for superbowl. Plus, if your a jets fan you realize your screwed when favre decides to retire again mid season or next year. Then what? no pennington  only clemons and you lost a good pick. I will be lmao when pennington beats brett favre in week 1.

  4. maybe because he went to a S****y team that no body even cares about, he should have went with the bucs..!!

  5. because the packs want favre over rodgers and that is why they drafted rodgers so they could get rid of favre

  6. 1.he keeps asking for releases

    2.he switched teams

    3.he is stupid

  7. He is entitled to play as long as some team wants him but his 3 year retirement game has gotten old. After the way the Packer family went far out of their way for him and his family after his fathers passing, his brother in laws passing and his wifes cancer one should assume he would have went out of his way to not play games with the retirement games every offseason. At some point they needed to move on and after he told them he was returning and then said no again right before they were to have a press conference to announce his return they made the decision to move on. He tried to force a deal to the Vikings (completely classless and a slap in the face of Packer fans....by the way I am NOT a Packer fan). It is about money with him, $39 million to be exact plus he is still trying to get the Packers to give him a 25-30 million endorsement deal, if it werent about the money then he would have offered to tear up the contract and create cap room to add more top players (I notice he didnt offer this to the Jets either). He could/ should have handled this far differently, the Packers showed so much grace during his times of need, he owed it to them to handle this in a manner that wouldnt be so nasty and try to throw management under the bus (the guys who bent over backwards for him and his family....most teams wouldnt go anywhwere near those lengths for any player). He put himself in front of a franchise that provided opportunity and put himself in front of his teammates, the very guys that helped him acheive his greatness. I hate nobody (except maybe my ex-wife) but I dont feel one bit sorry for Favre given the way he handled this situation (the last 3 years)!

  8. Because the last 3 years he hasn't been able to decide what he wants to do.  Before the Packers drafted Rogers they asked Favre for a time window on how much longer he would be around so they could decide if they wanted to draft a QB that year or the next.  He wasn't able to give them one and since then at the end of every year he gives the team the idea that he is going to retire but he comes back.

Even before Favre retired this year, he told the Packers he was going to play for one more season.  And 2 days before they announced his return for 1 more year, he retired.
