How come some males are overly protective about their sisters and daughters dating men ?

Is it because they know how men really are ?

  1. Yes, they don't want their little girl (or sister) to get hurt, like the know most guys will.  They also don't want to see her get knocked up or anything else like that.

They are just showing they care, in odd ways!

  2. Yes, and I would take the advice. It will save you much heart ache.

  3. I think that is the reason because they know how men are..i really dont know.

My dad isnt really overly proctective over me..

    But my boyfriend is.

He says he is over protective over me because "he knows what guys want & how they are"

so i guess that is the reason.

  4. You did answer your own question. To add to that, they remember what their own thought processes were like  when they were teen boys with raging hormones.

  5. it's because they know how men can be and i'm sure that fathers, brothers, and even uncles have broken more than one girl's heart.  they are trying to protect us from getting hurt like that.  my dad isn't really that protective of me yet because i haven't started dating.  but my uncles are going crazy.  they've already threatened to kill anyone who hurts me.  i kind of like how protective they are.

  6. I think so.  They know how they were and certainly don't want their female relatives being treated that way.  Although I know it is annoying, it is better than them not giving a c**p.  The best thing you can do is prove that you are mature and capable of looking after yourself.  Ask them for advice and make them feel important and like they are helping out.

  7. You answered you own question.  It's because men know how other men are.

  8. you got it so  right. they know what men are like. EXACTLY XX
