Why are female criminals less in comparison to males?

Is it something to be proud of? Maybe yes, but obviously it shows that we haven't evolved as a feminist society yet. Prejudice still exists. Women should be as strong as men.

Here is a for instance:

Woman nags and hits man

Man shrugs it off and stays with her

Intensity and frequency increase

man is ashamed/humiliated to admit to friends family that the abuse from his wife has gotten out of hand

one day man snaps and punches her

she suffers visible damage, broken jaw, black eye etc

she calls police

they arrest man

she gets accolades and kudos for being so strong and intelegent

he goes to jail for long time

Women also perform less violent crimes then men which has an impact Men are taught to be more aggressive/ accertive in life and that can lead to conflicts.Also the pressure to make more money and to have more things is greater on men which leads to drug dealing and embezzling and stealing

There are also the rare instances, like the one i mentioned in the begining where woman can commit crimes with impunity, either the system or society just looks the other way

you know..its very hard to believe you and Rio Madeira are close to the same age...yet are so different.

You need to grow up little girl..and i think Rio would be a good example to follow that is if you wish to be a " strong" feminist as you say. I do not agree with feminism..but i do agree the girl has a good head on her shoulders.

i myself do not wish to be as strong as a man..i am strong enough for myself..and my family. and that is good enough for me.

I think it's something that will even out on its own over time.

Due to personal experience and the experience of others, I know of three women who are sexual abusers of children of both genders and they've never been arrested. Woman #1 wasn't arrested because someone mistakenly took pity on her because she was raising children while her husband served in the military. Woman #2 was not arrested because the police officer (male) refused to believe the 13 year old boy who accused his babysitter of molesting him and I don't remember why #3 isn't in jail.

And being a criminal has nothing to do with strength. If anything, most of the time, it is behavior due to some sort of weakness.

There are plenty of female criminals, it's just that the court system is soft on convicting women so there are far fewer women convicts.

The reason that women commit less violent crime then men is simple, and its not testosterone.

Your much much weaker than us, the average woman doesn't have the strength to get in a real fight or do any real harm, and as such they dont get convicted of violent crime as much.

For instance: Woman hits me, i feel it, but it doesn't hurt too much, no marks, i hit woman, giant bruise or visible damage.

You think she'd go to prison for hitting me, even though she's technically committed a crime? Think i'd go to prison.

Why would you want there to be more female criminals??? Males commit more crimes than females. I think females are as strong as males, maybe even stronger, but they are also more sympathetic. :)

If women turned out testosterone as much as men do, they would be.  Worse yet, from the feminist point of view, is that most women in prison are there because of some fool thing they were doing for a man. Plus, most criminal women have nothing against using their "feminine wiles" to get out of trouble with a still-overwhelmingly-male police force.

There are less female criminals because females tend to not commit vicous crimes.  One of the biggest things with female crime is the fact that females tend to commit crime against people that they know, versus males who commit crime against anyone.  Now, this isn't an excuse to say that there is no gender discrimination in favor of females but the CJ (criminal justice) system is slowly inching towards treating everyone as a "Blank Slate"..........That's my look on it. The laws themselves are another issue in my opinion but this question doesn't call for that :).

But one thing is for sure even though I wish crime was going down altogether...female crime is going up, slowly, and male crime is going down slowly/evened out..

What bothers me is how many people think that women are able to charm their way out of trouble because most law enforcement people are men. It's saying that men are stupid brutes who can be easily led around. There are plenty of men out there where that sort of behavior doesn't work on them. Not everybody is as easily fooled as some people would like to believe.

The reason there aren't as many female criminals is because they tend to commit less violent crimes. Less violent crimes generally lead to lighter sentences. Look at all the male executives at Enron who stole millions from their own company. They got relatively light sentences. If they had broken into someone's house and stolen a DVD player, they would have gotten a much harsher sentence.
