Women seem to be more social beings and are more aware of various social norms. They want as many friends as possible, the more the better! Men on the other hand limit the amount of friends because it takes time to manage them.

  1. Simple...they are attention whores.

  2. "Socially Savvy" implies that men are less clever or intelligent than females when it comes to society.  I don't believe this is true.  I personally think that men and women have come to their present social states because of evolution.  Think about it: perhaps women favored having more allies so that, in case she died, others close to her, and thus resembling her emotional patterns, would be able to take care of her children.  Men, on the other hand, probably had a smaller circle of trusted friends because there would be less of a chance one of the friends would try to take over the original's position.  (Look at gorillas)  Women are also generally more open with their friends, whereas, unless they have benn friends for a long time, men rarely reveal much about themselves, for they might be afraid they might be labeled as g*y (not that being g*y is a bad thing, but but if one is not g*y and is labeled as g*y, it is generally a tad irritating).  Also, I tend to think that men have deeper relationships with their friends than women do.  I know this sounds counter to what most think, but think about it this way: even after men have an argument, both men involved usually still respect each other, and are likely to eventually become friends again.  On the other hand, if two girls have an argument, especially if this argument contains harsh personal insults and such, those women might backstab each other, and are scientifically proven to hold a grudge against each other for a longer time than men.  Oh yeah, and men are generally more physical with their fights, but women use words, which sting, and the body heals faster than the heart.  Finally, I'll leave you with a question: in a relationship, doesn't the woman usually give herself more time with her friends than she gives the man time with his friends?

  3. not all are that way however.

    ever met a salesman?

  4. They're brought up that way. Their brains are wired a tiny bit differently too. I'm not really familiar with the way that they are, but  it has to do with language. I think they're just socially smart in different ways.

  5. men compete more readily with each other, so see others as opponents.
