Why are fossil fuels necessary for the future?

Because most of the energy used by modern civilization comes from burning fossil fuels: transportation, power stations etc. Until we find sustainable ways to power civilization with something other then fossil fuels, we are stuck using them, or until they are all used up...

hopefully there not necessary for the future because we are converting everything to electricity isted of gas. But if they are necessary it is because of things like big factories being to lasy to switch 2 all electricity andcuz they don't care about our earth. It makes me sad using all those nasty nasty fossil fuels and ruining earth. and no i'm not a tree hugger lol

Beacause since gas is running low we need an alternitive fuel. Without fossil fuels in  the future we could not have cars.
