  1. Because we as a people are more gullible, will pay these fictionally inflated prices and can't get our provincial governments to control their greed, ask McLiar, he will tell you different. If you are lucky,a person can fill up next door while shopping for better prices.

  2. The US uses a thing called dollar diplomacy and pumps millions of dollars into the middle east in exchange for cheaper oil.

  3. because Canada sells their oil to the US and then buys it back. Therefore the pay more.  Canada, the good neighbors of the USA

  4. bc its canada not the u.s dahhhh us that thing in ur head called a brain

  5. Taxes would be my guess, that is the reason for everything else in Canada being so expensive.

  6. it cant be. my cusin from there told me it was like $2-$3 up there

  7. taxes and refining capabilities

  8. Everything in canada is more expensive

  9. Yes Canada Has Cheaper Taxes & Health Care But Not Gas Prices

  10. Canada has enormous reserves, and it makes no sense that we are paying so much.  We sell gas to the US then we get screwed at the pumps.  Crazy.  It is also strange that, while there is a refinery where I live, the gas prices are higher here than in neighbouring towns where there is no refinery.

When prices go up in the US, then we can be assured that prices will rise here as well.  If the government cared about the hardship created by these prices it would reduce the taxes on it.

  11. Everything is more in Canada.  Something has to pay for the socialized medicine!
