Why are gas prices still rising?

Reports have come out recently saying that we are using less oil and the government continues to say that supply and demand is the cause. What is really the reason?

  3. The price of crude is going up because of WALL STREET speculators.

    It started out with supply and demand, but now it is all about greed at WALL STREET.

  4. Because oil per barrel is estimated with the prediction of when the oil is going to go out. As long as we cant stop the perdiciton of running out then it will more expensive. This will happen, when we can start drilling here in america. Hope this helps.

  6. we, in the U.S. may be using less, but demand is probably still growing in China and India, and that increase makes our decrease look like nothing.  its a global economy.

  7. Gas is priced on the worldwide market.  We may have (very slightly) reduced our oil consumption, but the rest of the world hasn't.

  8. because they have figured out people will pay whatever, so there will be no end to it
