  1. Refining capacity is a large determinant regarding gasoline prices.

There is lots of oil but not enough gasoline.

An interesting side note: Iran is one of the top 5 oil exporters and yet Iran is one of the top 3 IMPORTERS of gasoline!

  2. if you paid attention , you would know they have gone down by atleast 5p per litre recently

  3. Because Bush and his GOP pals are keeping it that way .

It's called "pimping" for street terminology .

Exxon,BP and other oil companies are the pimps and we are their prostitutes .

  4. If they lower the prices then they can not justify the prices getting so high in the first place.

  5. They're staying high so the oil companies can continue to post record setting quarterly profits without having to pay windfall profit taxes plus they're getting tax incentives/breaks from Bush and Chaney.

  6. no because we are dependent on foreign oil supplies, the only time prices for gas will go down is when the price per a barrel of oil goes down. it does not matter how many cars are taken off the road, it will not effect gas prices.

  7. Because our Congress can not get it's act together and pass a bill that will have a long term effect on it..

We need to nationalize our oil resources so that they can only be used for the USA and start drilling US oil for the US.

We also need to get rid of Nancy Polusi.
