What does is matter about a persons sexuality as long as he/she can do the job. Its like any employer the army cannot discriminate against sexuality. Although most people in the forces would frown upon someone being g*y in their unit. Although from my experience there are alot of g*y women in the Army!!!

i dont exactly know how it works in the uk military but once you tunr 18 your suppose to do i believe a minium of 2-4 years once you term is done its up to you whether or not to stay in. its ike that in a lot of other countries as well

well one way to look at it is to ask why g**s are not openly recruited in the US. the reason behind that I believe, I remember hearing this from some military website, is that because of the fact that most people in the military are either catholic or chrisitian or some spin off of that, and being g*y I guess is against those religions, they want to please most of the troops and not accept g**s, well as long as they dont act g*y or say they're g*y. Britain is a much more liberal country i guess and dont care.
