Question:

Why are global warming consparitist so angry?

Should the conspiracy theorist put their names on some list, like we use to with n***s, so they can be held accountable for endangering our lives?

Would those same people get angry we are wearing seat belts, or that car prices have risen because we now have air bags?

  1. As long as it doesn't cost me a dime, I don't care what you do,  But when you start costing me more just to live, over junk science, then the fight will start.

    Remember that.

  2. I don't count myself as an 'anti-global warming conspiracy' theorist, but I do take pause when our society all too often jumps to conclusions without thoroughly testing the basis for such conclusions:

    Posted in dailytech.com, 8/7/2007:

    Regarding temperature surface stations...................

"A volunteer group headed by meteorologist Anthony Watts had found serious problems. Not only did sites fail to meet the NCDC's  requirements, but encroaching development had put many in ridiculously unsuitable locations -- on hot black asphalt, next to trash burn barrels, beside heat exhaust vents, even attached to hot chimneys and above outdoor grills.

Soon thereafter, a Seattle radio station interviewed the head of the NCDC, Dr. Thomas Peterson, informed him of the effort and quizzed him about the problems. Three days later, the NCDC removed all website access to station site locations, citing "privacy concerns." Without this data (which had been public for years), the validation effort was blocked. No more stations could be located.

Scientists were quick to respond. Climatologist Roger Pielke from the University of Colorado called the act a "coverup" and said it was designed to prevent public scrutiny. More shockingly, he revealed that researchers had been for years pressuring the government to validate the network themselves, and that the NCDC had begun to do so, but cancelled the project and refused to make the data public, presumably to avoid this sort of scandal.  Joined by Watts and others, Pielke called upon the government to recant.

The resulting furor forced the NCDC to again made site locations public. But so far, they've failed to address to root of the problem, which is the wholly unsatisfactory locations of many of their recording sites, loations which make the resulting data unreliable, and compromise a dataset upon which much of US energy and environmental policy is based."

  3. AGW deniers are angry because their personal freedoms and quality of life are being sacrificed to a hoax.

I find it interesting that you compare AGW deniers with n***s. The term "denier" itself brings to mind the image of a Holocaust denier. This seems to be an interesting way that proponents use to discredit deniers, by comparing them to the n***s, when such a comparison is both untrue and unjust.

  4. Good question.  From what I've read here, they seem to be afraid of higher taxes and, as someone else said, liberals.  Is it pure greed that makes them so paranoid about scientists being involved in a vast political conspiracy?  Is it pure greed that makes them willing to gamble the future of the entire human race to save some money in the short term?  I doubt it.  I think there is some fear of change involved too.  But what I really don't understand is what is so scary about moving on from fossil fuels.  I know they were great, in the 19th century.  They are not the end-all, be-all, of fuel sources.  And you don't have to be liberal to make money from alternative fuels.

EDIT:  Guess another question would be, why am I so angry about them?

  5. Global Warmining is a myth.  Does anyone remember that in the 1970's it was thought that we would enter a 2nd ice age.  Oh no the polar bears will freeze!!!!  Now the liberal left says that the polar bears will burn.  Global Warming is false.  The 1930's were the hotest years on record not now.  There is NO EVIDENCE OF GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!!!!

  6. I am not sure why there the anti-AGW people get so angry about this.  Usually the solutions to global warming are money saving solutions in the long term.  I think that they hate the fact that a liberal politician made a movie about it.  I think some people have the mentality that anything a liberal says must be wrong.

  7. I'm angry because you're messing up MY world.

  8. If we observe the Kyoto protocols, America will have about the same economic conditions as India - a few rich people and millions on millions of people almost starving.

  9. Which list of n***s are you referring too?  Which conspiratists are angry?  What conspiracy are you referring too?  It is all too confusing.

Note: You will notice that no list of n***s will be forthcoming.  Let us see if it is simply the asker's conspiracy theory.

  10. Sounds very apparent that you are the angry one.
