Why are green spotted puffer scared of fingers?

  1. possibly they are vulnerable to seasnakes or seafloor worms at an early age, or eels maybe... or maybe they saw your finger in your nose earlier.

    How long have you had your Puffers? Puffers learn to recognize their owners face however they can still be spooked by sudden movements. Spend some more time watching them but don't make sudden movements.

  3. you'd probably freak out if a giant pink thing came towards you too. it's natural for fish to be afraid of hands/fingers, they don't know what they are.
