Why are guys (14-16 years old) always afraid to talk to girls?

They need like a friend to talk to you or like just stare or something. Does anyone else feel this way?

because maybe they're just too young or too expose right?that's why they're feeling that way...or maybe they're too shy..

yeah i agree. i think they just don't have enough confidence yet and they are afraid that if they try to talk to you then they will say something stupid (which is probably true lol) but not all guys are like that. some will come right up to you.

Because unknown to lots teenage boys are actually quite shy. plus they don't know what to say.

Well i am a 16 year old male.

I do talk to girls but when i talk to a girl i like i never know what to say really. I worry incase they dont think i am interesting enough.

and you dont really wanna be talking to a girl then all of a sudden your conversation just comes to an awkward silence lol

They're young and unsure of themselves at that age. So it's only natural that young guys be afraid to talk to girls. Some guys grow out of it when that get older, some guys become super aggressive when approaching women, and others never really grow out of it. It depends on the person.

They just experienced puberty and now they notice you in a sexual way so it's intimidating. And they don't want to be rejected.

They're usually don't want to be embarrassed. Because that's the age boys actually get interested in girls.

well when you get older,....especially the age you mention....boys and girls find it harder to express themselves.....they tend to hide their feelings.....they dont want to embarrass themselves if they get rejected by a girl.

This normally happens when Girls go mature quicker than boys...

Boys will not be so open as girls... otherwise they're probably book worms or guys that might be g*y....

Like me, i found it difficult to start talking to girls, probably because i dont want to embarrass myself?

Also i find it hard to talk to girls when they are in a group...

But one things for sure, Boys who are less likely to talk to girls in teenage time, most of them are going to be romantic later age.

It's part of growing up.  They may not have experience.  Some may not have sisters around that age. Also, they are changing physically and it is not always easy to talk to girls when you are sexually attracted to them.  Their bodies are causing them to see girls in a whole new way and they have to adjust to it.  It's a new experience.

Sometimes it could be due to physical appearance. Im 15 and theres times when im afraid to talk to girls because all my acne. I have BIGTIME acne.
