Because no matter what anyone says to the contrary, it's still a man's world.

Well simple the NHL has enough problems getting ratings to think a Women's league would work. Nothing against women either, but face it their sports get lower ratings and less interest in general. So if guys weren't players there would be no NHL so it is in their best interest to get the guys to grow up and play.

In Hockey? Becuase they enjoy the sport.

Relationship wise? Because most mean lack a lot of emotions and the integrity that women posses, and they're very physically aroused. Not all guys are players though... that's stereotyping.
