Why are half the democrats so afraid of a woman leader? Isn't this sexism and misogynism at its worst?

First they ditched Hillary, now they are attacking Sarah Palin. I think they fear powerful women. The good old boy system is firmly entrenched with the democrats.

  1. I don't think they are afraid of a woman leader, I personally voted republican last time around and Sarah Palin is the reason I will not be voting republican this time around. She is not qualified to run this country should something happen to John McCain. She has executive experience, but the scope of that executive experience is so small compared to what she will be faced with as VP. Alaska has a population of 670,000 total for the state, and Wasilla 6500. How does this qualify you to run a country of 300 million? 80% of Alaska's land is owned and managed by the federal government, meaning Sarah is in charge of 20% of the state. 80% of Alaska's economy is oil, with gas at record prices, Alaska is getting some nice tax benefits here. Do the research...go read the info on the census bureau. This is very limited niche experience that does not compare to the broad wide ranging issues that this country faces, it does not even compare to running a state with a population in the millions that is home to a major metropolitan city. This experience does not qualify her to be the number two in this country. The other issue I have is that because of these weak qualifications it appears to me that she was selected solely as an answer to Barack Obama. Her being female to his being black, her youth to counter Obama's and to counter John McCain's age. She is being called a maverick and a barracuda to counter Obama's "Change" platform. She is being toted as a "soccer mom" candidate trying to appeal to the female vote as a mother of a Downs baby and a soldier - this is all nice but it does not qualify her to lead anything. Not to mention in the 20 months she's been in office she's managed to get herself in the middle of an abuse of power scandal involving her sister and her sister's ex husband. This to me speaks to her ability to seperate her emotions from her job. If there is going to be a woman in office I want one that is going to do us proud, one who has an impeccable resume, who will be a strong leader, and be able to make decisions as well as any man. I am not going to vote for a female candidate because we share the same plumbing.

  2. It's not Democrats who fear Palin, it is Obama supporters.

Obama supporters does NOT equal Democrats.

Limousine Liberals, aka Obama supporters, are all as phony as two dollar bills. They believe the exact opposite of everything they say. Remember Obama's trashing of working class people when he was hanging with his $$$ homeboys on Millionaire's Row in San Francisco. he thought no one was listening so he spoke his mind, basically stating, "I have complete contempt for the poor." very different from what he says in public. And remember his subtly giving Hillary Clinton the finger.

  3. Where are you hearing that Democrats are afraid of women?  Republicans passionately despise Hillary, so convincing people that Republicans are misogynists would be a much easier sell.  You were OK with the Hillary bashing, weren't you?

Republicans bashed Obama for his inexperience, having only been a senator for a few years.  You were probably OK with that argument, right?  But if someone DARES point out that Palin was just a MAYOR a few years ago, all of a sudden they hate women?

    Your claim is hypocrisy.

  4. We cannot speak freely about the current situation because none of us actually know the play behind the scenes. We are only discussing what the news wants us to know.

However on a linked note. There has been, over many decades a realisation with the first studies of the brain that, that the left, or 'female' half is the intuitive, beautiful side that creates all the beauty in the world - music, artists etc. the right side of the brain, the 'male' side being the animal side, that is really quite stupid in comparison.

A move to eliminate the feminine aspect of the brain has been a success with the so -called 'feminine' movement, which weren't at all feminine movements! All they have done is made the female more like the male - almost exactly and completely forced out feminine ways of thinking i.e. beauty, intuition and peace

It is one thing to empower the female side of things, it is another to change females into male-power-oriented beings.

How do i know? I have been working for these people for a long time. study mind control used on the public and you will see

Get rid of you 'isms', your sexisms, misogynisms the words only define conflict. its time to make a change

  5. No...I'm afraid of an EXTREMIST leader.  Palin is FAR Right and McCain is 72 years old and cancer prone!

  6. Hilary wasn't ditched, someone else won. Palin was gonna be attacked if her name was George and was born a man. It's how you win.

  7. I think I heard somewhere that there are more women and minorities in upper level government positions in Bush's administration than there were in Clinton's.  I'll see if I can find a link or two.

Edit: It's a mixed bag.  While the appointees as a whole were lower for President Bush as opposed to President Clinton, President Bush's cabinet was quite diverse which can be read in the fourth paragraph.

  8. It has nothing to do with her gender. It has to do with who she is, what she did in Alaska, and what she plans to do to this country.

She has NO qualifications to be in the White House. None at all.

There were many republican women available for the VP slot who are so much better qualified and for whom I would vote for in a heartbeat. Palin is totally unprepared. He had better choices but I think he was afraid of putting an intelligent, experienced woman in office just in case she outdid and overshadowed him. Misogynist.

  9. I don't think it is women that they are afraid of.  The problem is that she is white AND a woman.  Added to having a running mate with experience in government, the whole thing is just too scary and awful for them.

  10. Your focus is awfully set on gender and hardly set on ability to lead one of the most powerful nations in the world. If you did more research, you'd see we are attacking her on readiness to lead and not her v****a.

I am a feminist and I am telling you to stop playing the gender card.

  11. They have the king of Washington Good Ole Boy's Boy's with Joe Biden.

  12. Be careful to claim sexism as a reason for Hillary's downfall, remember that 4 out of 10 women voted for Obama and for women under 65 its was evenly split.

Also remember that Hillary had a huge media advantage coming into the primaries with just about every network coronating her as the nominee with no one to mount a serious challenge.

Hillary was treated fairly and it certainly wasn't the men's fault that brought her down.  It was campaign mistakes, poor demographic planning and her message fell short.

  13. It is, they were condemning her for working while raising her family earlier.

Apparently they believe women should be barefoot, pregnant, and working in the kitchen instead of being strong productive and independent members of society.

  14. I could care less if sarah palin was a man or a woman, if she is THAT unqualified, and has all this bad stuff coming up one after another, after another - ofcorse i'm going to be worried .. it has nothing to do with her gender. Wow you are very ignorant to make such incredible assumptions ..

  15. Who's attacking her for being a woman? Its her qualifications we're attacking...as are alot of conservative.

  16. Hillary was kicked to the curb by her own party, and then praised when she became Obama's cheerleader.  They feel it is ok to be sexist, you cannot be racist.  Funny thing is, it seems to be the women that are the most critical.   ***

  17. AS soon as Obama chose Biden I wanted Palin. I said she can debate Biden, because he came out trying to be a woman's rights activist. He will have to be careful of how he criticizes her on a debate stage. Or he will lose any womens votes. Plus that hear she is quite a debater anyway.

Not saying Biden doesnt have a serious advantage.

  18. In response..a woman is not the issue, but to accept the job as VP with an older man, who has a hard time controlling his temper and that could lead to strokes, etc, the feeling of her assuming his job is a little more than I can bear....certainly, there were other women he could have picked from, in fact, many with great credentials.....

  19. why are some republicans so afraid to vote for a black candidate? is it cuz theyre racist and hate anyone who isnt white?

racism is deeply entrenched with republicans

  20. The Democrats aren't afraid of women Hillary was just our second choice . Palin is not qualified you will see which party is sexist when mccain only gets 35% of the vote in november

  21. Because the Democrats host the most Good old boys, The KKK Racist's

And we all know how they love to see a woman Fail.

  22. 1. That woman is an idiot. I'd elect a houseplant first.

    2. No and no.

  23. They didn't ditch Hillary!!! Believe me, if it had been anyone except Obama running she would have won! And, they are NOT attacking S P because she is female, it's because she is an extremist, an Anti- Abortionist and if I had an hour I'd go on forever!

You're just looking at it the way you want to look at it
