  1. yeah you look mixed but you look closer to black. some ppl are just narrow minded because you def look mixed no doubt about that.

  2. You look miked. You are considered black by society because of the one drop rule. Go read about it.

  3. You look Mexican or something, you don't even look black. I on the other hand have a white mom and black dad, but look completely almost like my old man. Except for some certain features. If you look black you should identify with it. Its less confusing that way.

  4. That is the quiet form of racism we have today.

Basically, if you don't seem 100% white, you are considered to be non-white. White people in their families aren't going to say it, but if your half black, and your white side of the family is a wealthy Republican family who are ALL white, they are going to see you differently. That feeling causes mixed people to feel like, 'well I guess I'm really not white.' And if black people are more accepting of you, and actually call you black and see you as black, your most likely going to feel that your more black than anything else.

Interesting that black families are more accepting of a mixed kid being black than the white side being accepting of him/her being white. It's that quiet, unspoken racism.

EDIT: By the way, "hispanic" actually is a race just like "black" is a race. "Black" American is one who can be mixed with african genes, white, native American. "Hispanic"  American can be a mixture of indian, spainards, blacks, white. If your black, and live in Mexico, you are a black Mexican. If your hispanic, your a hispanic Mexican. Or a hispanic Cuban if you live in Cuba, etc. Black or Hispanic is the race. Mexican or American is the culture. It can even be broken down to "Back American" culture to be more specific on the life style of the person.

  5. Unfortunately, according to an old saying, "One drop of tar ruins the can of paint." This saying as racist as it is, is still a part of our society. People believe that once you are part black, you are black. And it is not so, but for people it is harder to consider or say to someone, you biracial. They just call you black. That's it.

  6. The hair, it's,you know.

  7. Because of the fact that black is a dominant race . I am mixed with several races as well, but since my father was black, portuguese, dominican, and jewish and my momma was black,I am black. Black is the dominant race and that is mostly what i look like. lool

  8. Well your black and white

I personally just choose to only acknowledge the black in you..Other people can acknowledge whatever other parts they want.

  9. Well, it is still sad people are labelling others. I am Black dominican/Irish, I have been called chicana, and white and everything under the sun except mixed. I am mixed and embrace all of it. You ask me where I am from I will tell you I am american. If you need to know my ethnicity and race and culture, I will tell you. I see myself as a mix of all things beautiful. You look like you. Handsome btw.

  10. It is mixed society.

  11. Not necessarily true.  Wentworth Miller is bi-racial but most people consider him white.  I think it depends more on which side of your genetics shows more, AND on the way you see yourself.

  12. like a bottle of white milk, mix any other ingredient into it and it bcomes the mixer. ex: chocolate milk, its still milk but not white.

  13. Its whatever they call them selves.. or whatever is more dominate looking i guess>

  14. It goes back to the days of slavery when you were what you looked like. We are all mixed in some way, but because the Saharan african gene is dominate, we usually appear more black than white. Unfortunately it's all about appearance in this world.

    Edited:

I find it funny that people say you look mexican, because hispanics arent really a race. They are a mixture of indian, spainards, blacks, and sometimes white.

  15. They're only considered "only black"  if the person is a racist. It doesn't even matter. But since you asked.. your skin is lighter, like a white person, but your features are more like a black person. You are goodlooking!

You don't look Mexican at all. Just ignore the racists on here, they lead miserable lives because they're just filled with hate and are never happy.

  16. you're adorable. yes, you look as you should  like both parents.  we all carry different caricatures of our parents.

want to hear something funny....i do not associate people by the race... one day i saw this person...was feeling frendly...excited about the upcoming holidays.. said happy hanaka...he said...what are you thinking i'm italian.

that sure taught me, the first and last time i did that. LOL

For example: my grandmother was brought up in an orphanage..

she had dark complextion, wide nose, curly hair.

I always thought to myself ..she had some black blood.  No one knew...and she wouldn't tell.

which, by the way,  i could care less... 50 yrs later we discovered...indian blood. which..still i loved her...didn't care about the race.

i will also say that i believe we all have black blood in our history. just some don't want to admit to it. It breaks my heart (really) to know how badly people treated other people....because of the race....

i don't think that there is an answer to such a simple question.

  17. you look black, you are black.

  18. Aww.. you look hispanic, but u also do look mixed...due to your hair type...and skin tone.

  19. yes you look mixed but let me tell you that is the big part of who you are ok  just be your self it doesn't rally matter what the society think about you coz it is just you don't let them to tell you what you looks like it is 21 century no matter what you look like black white green yellow brown or what ever you shouldn't worry about what you looks like be proud of your self!!

  20. Because most of them consider themselves black.

Tiger Woods, who looks totally black, does not consider himself black.

  21. Not in my world.  I consider you mixed.  But we're all human.

In a way you don't look mixed, in a way you do.  Your complexion looks Italian (white) but your features look black.
