Why are headlines going nuts about obamas fist bump, did it first seem like the bump meant something wrong?

Yahoos headline made it sound like the fist bump was some secret muslim thing and he was going to try and take over the world or something...or it kind of seemed like it meant he was a terrorist...why so much hoopla over a fist bump?

Fist bumping is considered black slang so people are a little shocked.

Because the media is idiotic. I for the life of me have no idea why they would even bother to report this. I'm pretty sure they're trying to play up on "he's black and it's the cool thing to do", but come on people. For one the "fist bump"(or dap as i've always known it) is not anything new yet the reporters in the videos are going around doing it in an exaggerated manner  (and truly making fools of themselves)like it's some new alien form of communication . With so many newsworthy happenings in this country right now, the media should be ashamed of themselves for wasting everyones time with this. I kind of get the feeling that they're angling it to be a "black thang" but my white, asian, and hispanic friends all do this and never really think twice about it. Media giants, most of us can see right through you.
