Why are homes on the golf course required to have iron/metal fences?

  1. I live along a golf course and I'm not required to have a fence. The requirement is most likely a deed restriction of the particular community, and for aesthetic reasons the community chose iron/metal fences. I've also seen white picket fences along golf course homes.


  2. Because it looks tacky when a golf course is lined with wood fences.

  5. Because otherwise they would be requiring to change their window so often. The golf balls can go anywhere especially with high handicap players.

  6. If any of the homes on golf courses have fences, they are put up by the owners and not a requirement.

  7. Don't know where you are, but here in the Midwest US we have a lot of courses where there is no fence at all between the golf course and the backyards.
