The real estate market went absolutely crazy a few years ago; sometimes doubling prices in one month!   I suppose it has something to do with people in the LA area being concerned with appearances, and impressing their friends with how much things cost:)  It certainly doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the homes, because the quality in So.Cal is terrible.  The weather IS good though:) ....  Try moving to the Dallas area.  You can get a gorgeous NEW 4000+ sq.ft,  all-brick house with crown molding, granite, wood floors, etc. for that price - with excellent schools, parks, restaurants & shopping ...  We lived in SoCal over 40 yrs, and moved to Dallas last year - best move we ever made!

Because EVERYBODY wants to move to LA so they have to do something from keeping it more overcrowded than it already is.

It's because more people live there and want to move there. but I'll never understand it. Yeah LA has nicer weather year round than the rest of the country but still wayyyy overpriced. Personally I'd rather put up with a little more rain and snow (and cooler temps all around) and live in a place that's a lot cheaper...and a lot prettier.

alot of thing weather being number 1

its always sunny and perfect for the beach thats another

the life style it very laid back and relaxing but at the same time the hussel of the big city is still there

its the most diverse county in the hole world every race is represented in LA every race

so because of that the food and culture is different very very liberal

there a tone to do due to the fact that the weather is perfect and will never keep you looked in

also in the winter it snow in the Mountains so thats like an hour away

the beach is 30min away and down town is 40min away you can do all 3 in one day

jealous ??? LOL

oh movies starss yea some people care about things like that

also 40% of the people will talk to you in Spanish

also OC is 20 min away and thats more Beaches more rich people with there hot spoiled daughters LOL LOL
