Why are hybrid heads so heavy???

They have a realy heavy head on them. I dont know if the expensive ones are light but i have a ben hogan hybrid and its heavy i dont like swinging it?

The reason they are so heavy is to give the golfer the feel of a solid shot. Normally golfers are aprehensive about long iron shots and end up not making an accelerating swing through the ball. Hybrids don't eliminate this they just work inspite of this. The other reason for the weight is for playability out of poor lies. A heavier club will drill right through the rough or sand or dirt or whatever. And no, the expensive ones are not lighter if anything they are heavier. My buddy plays the bobby jones hybrid and that thing is heavy. I don't play a utility or hybrid club I have tried and I would much rather keep my 2i. I prefer it's workability to the utility's consistency. But if you really want to get the knack for your hybrid play it like an iron NOT a wood. Commonly golfers play hybrids like a wood and don't like the results. Hope this was helpful.

it doesnt matter, they are still easy to hit and you can get decent distance out of it.

Hybrids have a heavy head for a couple reasons:

1) similarity to an iron

2) If you're in the rough, you want something to cut through that grass and get your ball out.  

Hybrids, typically, are easier to play than long irons (i.e. 2-iron, 3-iron) especially from rough and other "less than ideal" lies.

they are supposed to be a mix of a iron and a wood

there heavy to give a little extra club speed >extra ball speed>more distance

try using it like an iron
