  1. Because that is the stereotype of alcoholics

(not meant to be an insult, I'm Irish).

  2. Because of the Baldwin brothers?

  3. It depends on who you know. My best friends Irish and shes absolutely gorgeous, so i had no idea about this 'violent' stereotype.

  4. Why ask this question of the Irish , does it not apply to any nationality .

  5. They're violently happy...

  6. i'm irish!

i'd say because most irish people are prone to random mood swings.

i have a very short temper.

    i'm generally incredibly good natured.

but p**s me off and oh boy you're screwed.

oh, and because the campbells invited the mcdonalds over to "make peace" and then killed them all in their sleep. no joke.

  7. Because we love beer and arguing so much which usually leads to drunken brawls. It's in our nature. Fist fighting is part of Irish heritage. It was not considered malicious but normally a friendly contest between friends or enemies. Consider it like feats of strength. Who can drink the most beer and take/throw the most punches. When you are like that most of the time you are bound to get stereotyped.
