  1. Because we have forgotten basics. We have scant respect for fundamental knowledge. We love words "Applied, specialized, super specialized, technical, advanced" and we hate words basic or fundamental. The science that deals with nature, composition, properties, laws and classification of wealth has no name as on date. How can you expect economics to solve the issues when they do not study basics of wealth and they are concerned only with application of wealth. We plan to improve ground water without improving soil physical properties. In India there is not a single soil testing laboratory to test physical properties of soils of farmers fields. As long as we do not give importance to grass cultivation, the grass root level problem of drinking water will not be solved. If one cultivates firewood in available wasteland in India and sets up thermal power stations, there will be no shortage of power. If all the nationalized banks in India fore go Rs.100 crore profit ($ 20 Million), we can see generation of 10000 jobs per bank and about 300000 jobs in all and this would boost the economy. We don't want simple solutions and our problems always remain at large.
