Why are jasper and rosalie's last names hale?

please without saying any spouilers explain why rosalie and jasper go by the last names, Hale? thankyou

well (and i dont think this is a spoiler) you do know that they are adopted so their last names are not cullen. Jasper's last name was hale and when they got married...the rest is explanitory

When Rosalie was still human her last name was Hale. Jasper took on the last name Hale in order to keep up appearances as Rosalie's brother; as Carlisle and Esme Cullen pretend to have them taken in as foster kids when they were 8 years old. Hope that didn't spoil anything now.

Oh an Jasper took on Rosalie's name (rather then the other way around) simply as Rosalie was there first, and was alrady known as Hale.

The last name 'Hale' is a ploy to make the humans less suspicious of the Cullen's situation. Jasper and Rosalie pretend to be twins because they look the most similar.

Well now... let me see if I can explain without spoilers...

Rosalie's real human last name was Hale in her human life. She did not want to give it up when she became a vampire because she loved her human life and was sad that she had to give it up and not have any beautiful children.

Jasper's real last name is actually 'Whitlock'. He changed his last name to Hale when he found Alice and joined the Cullens. Since Emmett, Alice and Edward already took the last name 'Cullen', it would look suspicious if another 'cullen' became adopted because i think that Emmett, Alice and Edward are pretending to be Esme's 'niece and nephews' from Esme's much older pretend sister that died.

so they decided it would be better is jasper and rose posed as twins in the next high school they attended. They both have blonde hair and look like twins so they just passed as being related.

My theory is that Jasper doesn't mind taking Rosalie's last name because he is on the down low from his previous coven, plus Rosalie is... I can't explain but the type of person who would prefer her own last name than Jasper's
