Why are kenyans and ethiopians so good at long distance running?

seriously i have been troubled with this thought for a couple of months. i mean does anybody know their training methods or what they do to get so fast or how they do it.

    naturally over there, only the strongest survive and mate, and they have naturally stronger kids, with stronger legs.

    here, all our parents are fat and weak, producing fat and weak kids.

    its just very popular in their country, so you see a lot of them in this sport.

  4. They are so fast because Kenya and Ethiopia are not economically strong. There is not an efficient means of transportation (not many cars, not many paved roads), so the easiest way for them to get to places is to either walk or run. For example: Haile Gebreselassie (world record holder in the marathon) of Ethiopia would run 10km to school and back as a child. Since he and many others were exposed to such rigorous exercise as kids their bodies became used to it (just like walking - when you started it was difficult, but now it is easy). Others factors include altitude, the way they live (no TV, cell phones, computers (usually)), and diet - no hamburgers or pizza!

  5. they just have tanlet. like for example their r more black basketball players in the  nba. their is more white quaterbacks in the nfl. they just r faster. its in their genes.
