Why are kids at school so nasty to me?

Everyday at school I get called names and when I walk past these girls they laugh at me. The other day these girls were being extra nice so I sat with them and they wanted me to ask out this guy to the prom. They convinced me and said he liked me. When I asked him out they laughed and said gotcha to him and he said I am shaking with fear. I am in my senior year and you think these kids would be more mature. The thing is it is the prefects and school leaders and really smart kids who do all the teasing and the other kids are nice to me. Why is this?

Kids are nasty to you because that is exactly what they are, kids.

If this is your senior year then all you need to worry about is having fun and making it last.What they did was very wrong but keep your head up.

And do you really think that the "kids" that are going around teasing everyone are the smart ones  caus you are wrong. The smart ones are the ones that stay stong, is themselves, and never looks down because of the mean girls.

stay stong and dont let them get to you, in the end you are the way smarter person!

there are a few reasons for this behaviour.

1. they are just plain a******s who prey on the weak.

2. they are jealous of you in some way and want something that you have whether its good looks or whatever.

3. they are threatened by you in some way and do that as a defense mechanism in order to keep you down under their thumb.

First of all, please ignore all the nasty answers people are giving you.

These kids are insecure. They are constantly having to live up to their own standard of perfection, which they don't think they can handle, so they take it out on you because it gives them a sense of control. And the guy, what a jerk! He probably does like you but is too much of an prick to admit it to these apparent friends of his so he has to confirm to everyone his arrogance. They are way too immature. Don't even give them the time of day, infact, if one of these girls tries to mess with you again, ignore the little brat and go hang out with people who are more human. They could also be jealous of a talent or ability you have and the minuet you get attention for it, they have to squash you because they are afraid of not being noticed.

Also, college is so much better. There are no cliques, and you can be your own person without all the high school drama.

IF YOU STUDY WELL, AND GO TO A GOOD UNI, AND GET A GOOD JOB, THEN YOU'LL GO TO THE HIGH SCHOOL RE-UNION, AND LAUGH AT THEM, SINCE YOU ARE THE LAWYER/DOCTOR

the truth is, even adults act like kids sometimes. its something youre just going to have to deal with, unfortunately.

you ever hear anyone say people pick on others because of an insecurity with themselves? there has been a lot of psychological research that proves this.

Watch the movie mean girls with linsay lohan this might help you out. It's about a girl stuck in your same situation. I personally would not be able to ignore stupid girls like that.

Here's what you do:

Get two of your strongest geek buddies and then Find them in a place where it's just you and them and beat the c**p out of all of them!!! That way when you go to the Maury Povich show in about five years you will be the girl behind the curtain that used to pick on the three popular girls! instead of being the geek on the chair all upset about what the three horribly nasty hoes from high school that are behind the curtain because they used to pick on you!!! lol Stand -up for all the girls who wish they could take out the popular and snotty Bi tches!

They are probably jealous of you for some reason and just ignore them. Even if they are nice to you again I would just ignore them too as they are probably doing it as a way to be nasty even more like asking that guy to the prom.

Some people are just like that. I go to a relatively small school so I know pretty much everyone and a lot of people like me because I will give everyone the time of day whatever age or "stereotype" they fit into. However these little kids on my bus are so rude to me, it doesn't bother me because they are so much younger but some things they say are really nasty, some people are just like that, maybe how they are brought up.
