Why do lasers have a weak output until their diodes get to around room temp?

  1. Maybe its foggy, idk


  2. Most of the laser diodes ive worked with work in the opposite manner,they are much more efficient when they are colder, when they heat up the power becomes inconsistant, semiconductors usually preform better cold
