I recently was reading the list of things you're not allowed to take onto planes and "leaf blower" was on there. I'm wondering how it got onto the list.

  1. It has to do with the internal combustion engine. Leaf blowers are tested with gasoline before they are shipped out to stores and consumers, and since gasoline is highly flammable and HAZMAT (hazardous materials) they, and other gasoline and diesel-powered tools, are not allowed onboard.

  2. Maybe you can hide something in there.... =]
