Why are liberals shocked at Palin's daughters pregnancy?

After all the s*x ed, free condoms, and declaration that "abstinence isn't a solution because they'll just do it anyways and we won't punish them" talk, you'd think they would be expecting nearly every teen to become pregnant -- well before 14!

Undoubtedly they're shocked that the mother is getting married and taking responsibility instead of murdering an innocent child and shrieking responsibility like the daughter of a liberal candidate would have been encouraged to do.

We are not shocked. We just don't like biggots who spend their time giving lessons of morality and family values when the **** hits their fan too.When you want to give lessons on a subject to others, you need to have a perfectly clean nose on this subject.

Furthermore i cannot wait to see how the 17 year-old girl is going to take responsability and take care of this kid while going to school or college. Unless college education is optional and not necessary in this family. I bet what you want that it will be a nanny appointed by the white house who will raise this baby.

Also by placing the girl and her boy friend in the spotlights there is no other option for the boyfriend than marrying this girl. I am not so sure he is thrilled by the idea

I'm a liberal, and I am not shocked she is pregnant. Teen pregnancy is going to happen to poor, rich, dems, reps, and those who were taught abstinence only AND those who were given the right information to have safer s*x.

What shocks me the most is that she's getting married. She's 17 and going to be a wife and mother. At the age of 17, she is a child. I would hate for her to ruin her life not by having a child, but marrying someone just because she is pregnant. Statisticlly, it's not going to last.

I'd rather see her devote her time to being a mother and getting a college education, rather than being a mother and a wife. Undoubtedly this baby will be showered with love, as it should be. But Bristol will really be giving her baby a gift not by being a wife, but getting an education.
