  1. they use less wasted energy. wasted energy is energy give off by lights which isn't needed e.g) heat

  2. at the end of the day they really aren't

when they all start dying out they will end up in our landfills to

they last longer and use a little bit energy (among popular belief)  but i found they don't brighten the room as much so use have to use twice as many

  3. umm, because the use LESS energy..

..thats why they are called  LOW ENERGY bulbs.

  4. because they use less energy, most power plants in the USA are Coal fired which pollutes

  5. Supposedly because of the danger to the environment just from energy use.

Producing power is not good for the environment because power plants produce green houses gases and other forms of pollution.

Of course, they don't seem to care about the small amounts of mercury in these "environmental friendly" energy saving light bulbs.

Where do they think this mercury is going to go when all our landfills are full of flourescent bulbs?

Ridiculous as far as I'm concerned.

  6. because they use less energy and give off the same amount of light and less energy use for lighting means lower power consumption and more power available for other things that need electricity

  7. they conserve energy

  8. caus they save mmore energy

  9. coz they use less energy and supposed to last years so saving on waste too

  10. mercury is natural to the environment
