  1. No money (they are near broke), no REAL coach, no desire to do anything bar go thru the motions.

No offence to Coach Bailey but without money who could they have got to sit in the box this year?

Aghhhhhhhhhhhh there is always 2009 for them

  2. Are you joking?

They are the premiers and had a tough win against the Cowboys this weekend

  3. their handling of of players is poor, to say the least. they keep whats not needed and get rid of what is. money is huge factor for sure but perhaps they need to start from scratch get rid of the old start building up some kids and look towards 2010 because if the they keep rolling the way they are it will be 2020 before they are competetive

  4. It's because they've not got any players stepping up.

Melbourne need to get some better draft picks and some players stepping up.

  5. they realy dont seem to have any depth put it down to bad recruiting if you will

being a tiger fan i feel for what the dees are going through but im happy its not the tigers again

  6. It was bound to happen. They haven't recruited well. In a way, they had a decent run with daniher making the finals every second year and playing in a grand final. It's funny how at the start of last year daniher was talking about how melbourne had the perfect balance of youngsters and veterans.

  7. i dont think they have enough support. i mean everyone is bagging them so much and i feel so sorry for them. if i didnt like the Pies so much id start barracking for Melbourne. they need all the support they can get. to all you demons supporters out there- BARRACK FOR YOUR FRICKEN TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Melbourne  are so bad this year because they deserve to be!

Any team that lets themselves be so run down over the years deserves all they get. They have gained a reputation of over-paying players (Woewodin, Johnson etc) at the expense of other players; poor recruiting; not developing youngsters; retaining oldies (Neitz, for example) when they are well past their prime; no high profile coaches....

These factors do not draw new members or sponsors - therefore no money to play with......

  9. Hey dropkick there not talking about RUGBY
