Not all men are like that. Have you tried asking him, men are usually very straight forward. If you ask why he acts like he's miserable when at home, you may find that there is something else bothering him and he doesn't know how to express it.

They want excitement and s*x.. sorry.. men need attention and they hold in stress all day.  A lot of times when they come home they don't want to see your stress, so be supportive and you'll see a frown turn into a smile.

Not all men are miserable when at home.  The ones that are miserable at home could be because of wives that dont know how to be supportive and understanding of their husbands struggles and difficulties.  Other times it is because they are to self centered and get upset because of their child-like mindset that we should all cater to their wants and desires and dont know how to be considerate and sensitive to other peoples needs.  A major contributing factor to all these situations is because they are not submissive to God.  For God tells us in Ephesians 5 verses 22-33 the secret to a successful marriage and family life.

Because their wives make them that way.  What makes the situation even worse is when he tries to explain what she is doing to him she will always say "I don't do that." as if the man is making it up.  Then she gets upset about it and he has to comfort her about it.  So its best for a man to sit there, be miseralbe, shut up and lie if their wives ask any questions.

My bf is fine when we are at home together. If he gets bored, we just go do something together.

because their inner voice is telling them to put the beer down, get off the couch, and help his wife with the kids THEY made and he doesnt like hearing it. He wants to come home and have the kids clean and raised and quiet and the lawn mowed and dinner done with the dishes already done and the trash out and the vaccuming done and does not want to hear that you need their help... mho

I got lucky I guess,,, my second husband LOVES to be home and loves to help me around the house.. hes a very rare gem.
