Why are mom so over protective

i mean my mom i tell her that other people are going swinging alone and she wont let me and everyone else parent let them my mom act's like I'm going to have s*x or something and then she gets mad when i ask why

Same with my momma. She wants me to work with her now. I dont even know what to do. lol

My mom was really paranoid when I when out at all. She thought that if I was at parties or hanging out with a guy, i'd be having s*x.

I think it's because in her generation, the 60's 70's, she partied a lot and did drugs and had casual s*x. She didnt want me to be like her, or make the mistakes she did, or do something i'd regret.

However I told her that she wasn't respecting me at all by thinking i'd do the wrong thing all the time. It sucks that she didn't trust me, but she can't go expecting me to live my life without messing up. How will i ever learn responsibility if she always over my shoulder taking care of everything for me? I wouldn't.

I bet you have a lot of friend's or know people your age that have parents that could care less where they are, what they are doing or with whom.
