  1. Most parents work more these days and see their kids less.  This in turn makes the little time they have with them to not discipline their children and give them everything they want.  This turns them into spoiled brats.

  2. Parents are to scared to discipline their kids.  Or they don't think the love them if they don't give them everything they want.

  3. When any form of spanking (even the light occasional swat) is called abuse by "studies" in the media, there's a problem!!!  Parenting has become TOO soft.  I love my daughter with all my heart, kiss and cuddle her all day, but she is not my friend!  She is a CHILD, and I am her parent!!  It is my duty to teach her kindness, right from wrong, respect for God and other people, etc.

Only once I was a grown up wife, with a child of my own, did my mom become my friend.  We are so close, and I credit her and my dad for teaching me morals and decency.  I'm appalled at the things that kids do these days, and I'm only 25!!

  4. because parent are more and more giving in to them because humans as a whole are loosing patience... with my on i let him know when he dos something wrong and i dont give in... alot of parrents give in just because the kids cry , they cant stand it... if people would just hang tough it would be alot better in the end

  5. its all about psychology nowadays you dont want kids to go threw what we went threw .corporal punishment.etc its daft because we all learnt respect yes it was hard we never had what the kids get nowadays.but unless we all take responsibility the world is going to get worse .their is a saying "kids get away with murder"and trust me they really do.wake up parents before its too late

  6. Read this quote:

"Children today are tyrants. They contradict their parents, gobble their food, and tyrannize their teachers."

Do you know who said that?

    Socrates. :)

In every generation, those who are older tend to note that children in the current day are more oppositional and selfish.

It is very common to believe that discipline has become more lax as years pass.

I personally think that nowadays, there are vast differences in overall society and laws that 1) encourage child opposition and 2) discourage parents/caregivers from disciplining the children-- either out of fear (e.g., fear being 'reported' or of hurting the child's self-esteem), lack of knowledge, or previous experiences (e.g., spanked too much or abused as a child).

  7. Mainly because kids are having kids way to young and don't

have a clue on how to raise children.  And a lot of parent's work all the time and fill guilty and over indulge their kids with

material things instead of giving kids what they need most

    there time and discipline.

  8. because of peace. although still there are a number of places where life is very hard, it isn't as hard as before now...

my point is...children don't realize how hard life can be, so they just live for fun and don't really care much about their parents...

parents on the other hand tend to spoil their children more. in my opinion, that is because parents these days want their children happy at all costs even sometimes sacrificing discipline...done are the days that parents have so many house rules. today everybody is free, that is how children these days view life...

  9. It's become "immoral" for some to discipline their children by means of spanking so they just let them do what they want. In order to get a child to behave the parents have to give them a treat so the child learns how to get what they want, by misbehaving.

  10. Because of liberalism in the culture, which is the plague of the modern era. It's prevalent in parenting and a lack of discipline exists.

  11. MY daughter is well behaved because she knows Mommy is boss, and what I say goes.

I am not afraid to scold her, and to tell her no.

The problem today is that people don't teach their children respect.

The old saying "It takes a village to raise a child" is so true. These days a person can not even look at a child without their parent having an issue with it.

  12. because they were never get scolded by their parents. or less attention was given to correct their mistakes

  13. Parents.  They think their little darlings are so great they don't care about the impact their baby monsters have on others.

  14. Probably because the people of the US, like all other powers before, are getting very used to their power and wealth and are getting lazy and indulgent.  And so, the newest generation will show this the most.
