I watch CNBC and a lot of other news channels commentators and it seems that the older they are, the more they deny GW.

Why is that?

Do you think most of the GW deniers on Yahoo Answers over 50 as well?

  4. Global Warming is a hoax and I'm 7 years old.

  5. b.c rather than just blindly believe what Al Gore had in his movie. They took the time to actually read the climatological research and the admonitions he has received from such organizations for scewing the research to make something look much more than what it really is.

  6. they call it change so there for they do not like that.

  7. Older and wiser.

  8. because they dont have long to go

  9. Well, I am over 50, and I definitely am not a GW denier.  I also have two children that I love very much, and I want them to live in a comfortable environment in a peacful world even after my time is up.   I don't want them to think about my generation as the generation that could of, should of and look what they did to muck up our planet.

I think maybe it is that many of my generation deny it because it is too painful to face the truth, and unless they are directly affected by the mess, it is easier to not believe it.  Also, I think a lot has to do with access to information.   I grew up in a time where my immediate neighborhood was all I knew.  Now at the touch of my fingertips, I can read news from all over the world, see and feel how we are all connected.  The younger generation does not know how it feels to be disconnected, and they are uncomfortable with that which is a good thing.

However, I have seen people of my age suffer mental anguish when their stubborn attitudes are blown apart when reality hits them.  It is a crisis of faith and belief they experience, and they deserve every bit of their anguish.  I'm glad I am not one of them.

  10. It's all the drugs they did in the 60's.

  11. because they've heard the 'world's coming to an end' over and over.

  12. Well I guess for the same reason you younger people think you know everything, when you have not lived and experienced life enough to know much of nothing.I don't believe in global warming.I do believe we are facing a real climate change. And isn't it fascinating for the first time in history we have the means and technology to measure and study this phenomenons, and you want to make others feel guilty because they don't agree with you.Or call them old and stupid.Well what does that say about you?It says you care about your title of global warming but not the earth itself you just want to be right Man is not will never in control of the climate on this planet and for those who think they can,it just proves what the Bible has already said"and they shall be educated fools".I don't know any "old folks" who waste anything bet you can't say that? I have grand kids so I do know what I am talking about.Great question by the way!

  13. Well not necessarily, I mean people tend to follow the ways of their parents, so if their parents were adept at denying truth presented to them in a scientific and factual way, then the children will be as well. Kinda like if your parents were always good at shooting down evolution, then youll be good at shootin down Global Warming.
