Krav Maga has been proven to be extremely effective in Street Fights! And what really ticks me off is that the boxers who say this don`t even know much about Krav Maga except that it is Israeli!

  1. Basically it comes down to beliefs. Krav Maga is more effective fighting style possessing more fighting options compare to boxing. But professional boxers have pride in their sports. If you are professional or any type of athlete, you believe what you do is the best including boxers.

  2. This is a perfect example of how modern day advertising can sway opinions.

You made a statement...I quote "Krav Maga h as been proven to be extremely effective in street fights". Thats a fallacy, and its you regurgitating great marketing.

Any art, taken from any individual can be extremely effective when the user adapts it to them (a great example of that is Bruce Lee adopting Gung fu, fencing, and boxing)....but to say that the art covers any personality?

And who are the people that have proved it? Who are these street fighters? What was the circumstance?? when? Where??? Do you REALLY know it was proven? Are you talking about a street fight, a bar fight, what? Where are the details to that claim??

Im not trying to discredit you, I am saying be careful what you prescribe to, especially in Martial Arts. ALL Martial Arts say they are effective in the streets, thats how they get you in the door.

But I submit that you could get someone to take either Wing Chung or Tai Chi, and if its in their personality to be a fighter, they will do well at either. Consequently you could take someone who has no aptitude to understand martial arts concepts, and teach them everything, and they would still not be a good fighter.
