I'm a Democrat, and I'm not, though I did think there was no rush to invade initially. I was also extremely disappointed that Rumsfeld, after admitting we went in with the army we had instead of the one we needed, did too little too late to change and expand it. I also freely admit McCain has been largely right about Iraq. So there.

They aren't.  The Democrats, just like the Republicans, are owned lock stock and barrel by AIPAC.  They,  just like the Republicans will support any war that Israel wants us in.

those democrats are first and formost against the republicans and not nesaserarily against  any wars as such the more  opponents they  get to swing onto their side the stronger they get against the oposition and gain  more power. their just upset because they didnt get to start the war. dont forget bill clinton had his war too. it didnt seem to put him off s.e.x. he wasnt too miffed about it

As far as i concern, more than 50% of US ppl think the United States should have stayed out and Bush made a big mistake.

The Dems wanted this war more than the Republicans before it started, look it up. Sadly, they don't have the courage to stand by their belief.

Are you aware that Lincoln faced the same problems, that his war was as unpopular? His approval rating was very low, people treated him the same way Bush is treated now. Lincoln knew what most people didn't - that the war was necessary and that he had to win at all costs. History has shown he wasright, and we consider him among our best presidents now. How could all those people have not seen the importance that Lincoln and his few supporters saw?!

Educated people are sure history will show that Bush was right as well.

The Democrats ( like the Republicans ) are hostage to the voters who put them in office..... The Democrats are largely composed of the 60's anti-war movement type thinkers.... war under any circumstances is brutal and a waste of human life.... we should talk out our differences..... and learn to live together.

Currently there are a few Democrats who say this is the "wrong" war.....that we should "only" be in Afghanistan after Osama (Al Quida).....once the Iraq war is concluded.....and we actually do shift our forces to Afghanistan.....they will suddenly find reasons to be against that war too.

Democrats represent the "disenfranchised"......and the bogus stereotype is that our fighting forces come from the ranks of these disenfranchised voters.... they are the ones dying ..... to protect the disenfranchised the Democrats must be against the war

( interesting that most of their "disenfranchised" troops support this war.....  being the dominate force in Congress the Democrats could end the war tomorrow.....the fact that they do not.....is sort of hypocritical)

LIES..... You are correct 71% of America is against the Iraq war......but that says more about the effectiveness of liberal bias in the media than the war itself

When troops were being killed.....the media devoted hours to the war....now that we are winning.... ABC (for example) has only devoted 8 minute out of over 360 hours of news to Iraq
