Why are most guys so shallow?

why do 80% of the guys in my school prefer the pretty/thin girl who might have the personality of a rodent to a fun-loving character who u can talk to really easily?

because I look like this I don't get a look in by most guys in my school. I might be a good 'mate' but that is all they see me as.

what would u rate me? 1-10?

Guys really want someone loving, caring, fun in their life..not the stuck up thin barbies... they are all about themselves... just be yourself and dont worry love will find you, and it will mean so much more w/you and him than the lust lil bois have for fake bitcheeeeeeeees lol

because us guys are still "primitive" while we are in school (K-12). We are bombarded by the media (movies, T.V., magazines) by certain images and that's what we tend to gravitate to. Sooner or later we progress and evolve and learn to look for what's on the inside...............but to sum it up............. its a guy thing. ;)

You can't expect guys who're filled with testosterone and main thought process involves how best to go about getting laid that night to prioritise a girl's personality over looks. I'm 17 and would, for a girlfriend, go for personality waaay above looks. My girlfriends are, with respect to them, living testament to that. But guys minds are genetically programmed to be interested in the most physically attractive female we can find at this age. It's just how it is.

No link to a pic, but anyway....Girls are the same in School. They want the Best Looking Guy that matches her handbag. Its all about growing up.

If you find someone mature enough in school to have a relationship with that actually involves having meaningful conversations, then you win the Grand Prize, but the chances are one in a million.

boys are shallow, they go for looks first and them if u have the personality great and if not ohwell at least ur hott.  i hate it so much.  they're like that because when they're together they talk about the other persons girlfriend and they dont want to be made fun of so they pick someone who cant be made fun of as easily.

Second, most men are not shallow.  They are very visual.  Everything is programmed.  What is beautiful.  By movies, advertisement, television, magazines.  What most don't realize is that inner beauty is the easiest thing to see in a person.  It's the inner beauty that counts.  Besides, the ones who get it will come into your life and realize what you have to offer and how lucky they are they meet you.  Good luck.
