Why are most people so skeptical about improving fuel efficiency?

This drives me nuts! This is why we are spending so much money on gas. It's us- the people that should make demands on what we want as consumers. But we let oil companies and car companies get away with our inefficient gas burning cars. Not only do they get away with it we defend them! DO your research and you will see, the only thing you will wonder is why don't any of the great energy ideas get out! It is because we think the world is so bad and there are no solutions and we don't give them the support these great ideas need. And then they get shut down before they get out and then we (most of us) think it's because they were scams! Wake up!

  1. Agreed.

I would gladly have spent the money to be an "early adopter" to the Think or the EV-1 ... but the car companies did not want to promote that technology.

Frankly, I have been laughing gleefully at the Ford and GM shareholders.  I pitty the employees for working for such idiots, but I am happy to see such stupidity crash and burn.

Recall that it was the car companies that caused big cities to start removing their electric public transportation systems (particularly in New York City).  Yeah, it was good for their business, but look at the situation it has left us in now.

This is one reason I am looking forward to Tesla (an American company) potentially being the first big inroad into electric technology.  Yeah, they're very expensive now (somebody has to pay for the R&D), but you can bet that even a modicum of success will create cheaper models.

  2. The arguments for changing our energy habits usually focus on collective welfare, the common good.  Real change is driven by economic interest.

In my neighborhood, people are starting to buy hybrid automobiles, not because it's good for the environment, but because gasoline has hit $3.50 per gallon.

  3. For more research on this vitally important subject, check just a few of the links from the site below.

Look for the video link at item G, about half-way down. 16 minute interview with a Filipino gentleman who ran his 1st 100% water car some 30 years ago. Listen to the explanation given by the president of his country, as to why they will not(cannot) support him.

If it's ever going to happen, it is up to us, the consumer. Will you take action? My car is running partly on water.....yours can too.

  4. I’m so tired of you spammers here it’s not funny, both you Matthew B  ozzigold, if these devices that the both of you have pushed here really work then all you need to do to PROVE it.

Get say a 50 hp engine with the alternator, battery combination of your choice, hook up your device, and use say one cup of gasoline to start the process, according to your link matthew b (in another post) states 7x the energy put in so lets say we put this engine in a glass room start it up and see how long it runs, I’m willing to bet the as soon as the gasoline runs out the batteries will run down and the engine will die. If as claimed in the video they are getting 7x back then the engine will not die until it wears out!

Ozziegold: yes I followed your link, and big brother is watching you, not (first link). Every time one of these devices has been tested it fails. I’ve seen video of test where the inventor was there and approved of the test and they still failed. Of course if they send you a few $$ then you’ll let them know the secret, come on if it worked the first couple of guy who built them would make a fortune selling them, no asking for money for the secret and don’t pass it a long please.

Both of you just go away. PLEASE.
