Deadlock is right. Prominent countries send their jobs over to China because it's a lot cheaper to make them over there, even with the shipping but because of prices of everything now it might change. That's why when people say "Made in America" or "USA made" it's a big deal.

For in China,the labor is cheap.Maybe a lot of people do not know that in most Chinese factories one common worker's salary is about US dollar 120 per month,if he wants to do extra work he will get USD 100 more or less.The other reason is that the population of China is the biggest of all the world.If you don't believe that you can go to the coastal cities to have a look.There are so many many young people there in the factory.That's why more and more products are maded in China now and in future.

as other people have stated, labour costs are cheap in china.  in addition, environmental controls are less stringent than in many other places, there are less labour laws etc and high labour mobility ( a factory job in a far off province is a massive step up for a child of a farmer).

on top of all of this there has been massive investment in production facilities in china.  its difficult to compete!
