Why are most "green" groups afraid to talk with "baymen"?

I am a comm.Bayman,aka shellfish harvester.I aways 'fight'for the good green causes,one's that help keep our bays & sounds from harm & for the wildlife. I have asked for 'help' a few times from eco/green groups to help me put a stop to the big corp.s..destruction of the underwater lands etc...these fights get nasty with town concils,state gov.etc...how come the eco/green groups don't get involved?they claim to be fighting for simlar causes,what gives?is it pure hatred of bayman, fear, no guts, what?

I've read of certain groups that do help the bay.   Maybe they don't like your confrontational style?   Blowing up a business or threatening an individual could really ruin a groups reputation, not that you would be doing anything like that...
