Why are most umbrellas black?

It just seems like, it's already raining and dark, so wouldn't you like to have something bright to be under?

  5. Umbrellas are used not only to protect us from rain but also from sunshine.Black objects absorb heat more efficiently.Heat generated by sunshine is absorbed efficiently by the black umbrellas and protect our body.

  7. 1. Umbrellas are black because black cloth doesn't get dirty easily, white cloth would get dirt on it and look dirty, which would have to be replaced or washed in someway.

    2. Black color doesn't fade easy, white umbrella could get brown, yellowish or fade into a different color, no matter what color you add to black it would remain black, like if someone pores blue ink over black umbrella it will remain black, while, red, yellow color would get discolored.

    3. Umbrellas were invented in Europe for rain not to reflect sunlight and as during rain normally there isn't any sunlight they didn't worry about that part.
